91¾«Æ·ºÚÁÏ³Ô¹Ï offers exam accommodations for students with disabilities. There is a variety of options available to students who are approved for exam accommodations with Disability Access Services; it is best to complete a disability self-assessment to see if you are eligible!
Step-by-step instructions
Various types of exam accommodations are offered by 91¾«Æ·ºÚÁÏ³Ô¹Ï to support students with disabilities or other needs. Here are some accommodations we offer:
Extended time: Additional time to complete exams.
Quiet environment: A separate room to minimize distractions
Assistive technology: Use of computers, screen readers or other devices.
Alternate formats: Exams in formats such as large print, technology readable pdf, or Braille.
Scribe services: Assistance from a person or dictation technology that writes down answers as dictated by students.
Here’s how to apply for exam accommodations:
Step 1: Register with Disability Access Services:
- Complete a disability self-assessment /disability-access-services#intake
- Provide documentation of your disability. Refer to the medical documentation table for information on eligible providers and documentation required
- Contact Disability Access Services if you are having difficulty getting your documentation or are struggling to find an appropriate professional assessment.
Step 2: Meet with a Disability Access Coordinator
- Schedule an appointment to discuss your specific needs and accommodations
- Develop an accommodation plan tailored to your requirements
Step 3: Submit exam requests through your Accommodate student portal
- Exam requests should be submitted no later than seven business days prior to any midterm, test or quiz, and 10 business days prior to any final exams.
Step 4: Confirm arrangements
- Disability Access services will coordinate with your instructors and book space for the accommodated exam
- Confirm the details of your exam booking before the exam. You should receive an email with all the information you need for exam day. If you do not receive this email, contact your Disability Access Coordinator.

When do I need to apply for exam accommodations?
It's best to apply as soon as you know your test dates. The deadline for requests is seven business days prior to midterms, tests and quizzes, and 10 business days prior to final exams.
Who do I speak with about my exam accommodation request?
You can speak with the Disability Access Services team, and they will be able to assist you in getting the proper documentation organized to ensure you are registered and ready to make your first exam request. If you have questions about a specific exam request, please contact your campus’s accommodated exam staff.
